I just finished a monster site overhaul, to both update my site with new custom projects and other advances, and also to convert my static pages to dynamic ones. If you don't know what this means, let me just say it is a giant, link crosschecking nightmare!
I went over pages again and again but if you happen to stumble upon a broken link, please drop me a line!

Got Your Back Covered
I have been accommodating individual requests for return address envelope printing, and now I finally have updated my stationery, invitation & announcement, and thank you card pages so you can select this option while shopping.
Return addresses are printed on the back flap of the envelope in the coordinating font of your choice, but in black.

Buggy Patrol
Following some individual requests, my popular orange baby buggy design is now offered in blue and pink, for those who wish to have gender specific cards. This image can be used for stationery, invitations & announcements, thank you cards, and calling cards. Enjoy!
Magnets, Finally Online!
When I was getting ready to do my first art show, at the last minute I created a small batch of pretty magnets and people went crazy for them. I sold out, and at the shows I have done since, these magnets are always a huge hit. I think it's something about their tactile, colorful nature; people cannot resist coming up and touching them.I finally have gotten around to including these magnets in my online shop. They are super strong magnetically and super fabulous visually! Click here to see the styles offered; these magnets also can be incorporated into paper and party favors, as I did when I did the baby shower project for Scott & Tracie Hamilton.
So Cute I Wanted to Keep It

One of my favorite things is making handmade gifts for friends, but this project was so cute that I wanted to keep it. Once again drawing on inspiration from Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts, I created a two-sided quilt for the director of my daughter's school (who is fantastically deserving of a labor of love such as this).
I fell in love with the blue and mocha fabrics that comprised the sides but I wanted to keep it from looking too boyish since the gender was unknown. Laurel picked the orange for the binding, and I hand quilted by tracing flower and leaf elements using orange thread.
Modern Yet Comfortable
Particularly validating for me is when friends want to partner up on design work. I created these cards for my friend Tracy, who recently launched her private practice and wanted a look that was modern yet comfortable and not representational illustration-wise. Click here for details about the project.
Little Ladybug
I believe in fate but every now and then I also get spooked out by it; such as when a mom inquired about custom ladybug baby announcements on the same morning my daughter found 3 ladybugs in our house. Click here for further details about this project.
Rainbow Heart Valentine's Cards
This is a bit of a belated inclusion in my portfolio, but sometimes finding just the right paper negates the need to illustrate something from scratch. I created these pretty foldover rainbow heart Valentine's Day cards for my daughter Laurel to give to friends and families. They were quite lovely, although my husband said I need to stop giving out professional looking Valentine's at my daughter's school, lest I be "that mom." As if on cue, one of my mom friends lamented that these Valentine's looked nicer than her wedding invitations. I promise, I'll tone it down next year...

Rich on Paper, Rich Online
Over the last few months, I've been doing a lot more in the way of business identity and websites (more updates forthcoming here...). I recently finished redesigning the homepage for my talented girlfriend Honey Jo. Honey Jo and I have worked on a number of fabulous paper projects, but this year, she very much wanted a website redesign after having the same look for probably close to a decade.Click here to learn more about the project; and if you're in need of creating (or re-creating!) your web presence, I have recently developed a web design a la carte menu so that small businesses can prioritize and pay for just what they need. Email me for details.
Featured in Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine
I was honored to be selected by Pregnancy & Newborn Editor-in-Chief Lacey Major for inclusion in the "Cravings: Editor Picks" section in P&N's March 2008 issue. I have been thrilled by all of the kind press mentions I have received since launching this business, but there was something particularly surreal about standing in the magazine aisle at CVS with my husband and daughter, seeing my first national press. Laurel took one look and said, "Mommy, why are your cards in that magazine??"

Got Multiples?
Over the past year, I have - informally and happily - accommodated simple requests to create paper goods for parents of multiples. For the most part, this is a pretty straightforward task using artwork from my collection. For example, in one case I created grasshopper notecards for a mom of twins (using a mirror image of the grasshoppers with the twins' names in the center). On another occasion, I created calling cards using my dragonflies design but adding a fourth dragonfly to accommodate a mom with four children - an older daughter plus triplets. (In the example shown, I have replaced the actual information with fictional details to protect privacy...)
The moms I have worked with have been so thrilled to finally have pretty cards available in what apparently is a bit of a limited market when it comes to stationery for multiples. I am happy to try to accommodate this request; the ability to do so will depend a bit on the selected imagery (i.e., how well the repeated images can fit the layout), but please email me and I am happy to discuss!
Now Offering Letterpress!
For some time I have been meaning to connect with an independent letterpress artist in the Boston area as a print option for custom clients, and I'm thrilled to report that I finally got around to doing so a couple of weeks ago. The folks over at Dick & Jane Letterpress are cool, do fine work, and are firmly against jumping on the ridiculously over-priced letterpress bandwagon that the bigger dudes ride. I'm really looking forward to partnering with them as letterpress needs arise.
Quality flat printing options of course are still available for custom projects. Just drop me a line to discuss the options as you mull your next custom project.
